Belated welcome Herdman,
Any luck with the cheese making ?
I did a few tries last year until I ran out of rennet. you can get satisfying results.
I now found some rennet in powdered form, keeps for much longer ..
Will give it another go soon enough..

Long-term cheesemaker here, but on a small domestic scale. Did'tt know about powdered rennet, will have a look for it.
Welcome from me too, by the way. _________________ visit my Creative Living forum

I buy in cow's milk at the moment, but I do have a couple of nanny goats that need to be got into kid. Still. However, I think one may have turned into a maiden milker I hope, so if I can get her to stand still long enough, I'll give ita go.
Will have a look at Ascotts for the rennet, thanks. Don't tell OH I'm looking there though _________________ visit my Creative Living forum
