" First thing in the morning " generally means sometime between 10 and 11 .
This is a bit of a standing joke but it happens to be true .
"Tomorrow / next week / later " could mean anything up to about a month . The same comment applies .
This is a very real feature of trying to get anything done over here so it is as well to recognise and go with it . You will drive yourself nuts otherwise !

Sounds like a bit of a generalisation.......builder said 'first thing in the morning' to me years back and he turned up at 8 a.m. When he said 'tomorrow' he meant the day after today......

I thought your first sentence was going to end with " yesterday "  Laughing .

Sorry , couldn't resist it  Embarassed

I admit that it is a gross generalisation and I am sure there are outstanding individuals but that has been my experience around here . Worse still , I have done it myself .    Embarassed  .
I just put that down to "settling in " !  Laughing

The Spanish word manana [sorry I can't do the squiggle over the first n] translates as Amarach in Irish [am awe ruchhhh]. Use it and amaze the native Irish  Twisted Evil
