I know there are a lot of variables but what do you reckon the market value would be for an approx 2 year old ewe with 6 week old lamb at foot ? Mother is mountain x Suffolk who was then covered by mountain ram . Both are in good condition .
And an 18 month old Texel x mountain ewe ?
Best guess would be fine . I have already been given two prices but one was from someone who sold them to me , the other was from someone trying to buy them . Funnily enough the numbers just don't compute !!

Hi blowin,
We reckon you should get about 140-150 for the ewe with lamb at foot, and 70 for the other ewe. That is on a good day at the mart I should add.
Good luck!! |

Many thanks for that .
I just noticed that 7 out of the 8 posts under the sheep section are from me . An early one is about rearing , later ones about dosing and sheering , finally this one about their selling price . That tells its own story !
The locals have often told me that these mountain sheep will break your heart . Seems they were right (again) !
