Hi all,

Where would I get Rennet in Ireland? I see that I can get it from the UK, but want to try Irish first.

Also, for those in the know. How long does it keep? and can you get Organic rennet?

Thanks in advance!

If you have a friendly cheesemaker in the area they might give you a wee bottle. That's how we get ours most years. Sometimes I order it in from Germany if I have to get other supplies as well. I tried vegetarian rennet one year from Munster Wholefoods but it didn't work for me.

Im not aware of any cheesemakers locally, and for a start, this is more of a "give it a go and see" application.

I ended up buying rennet off eBay in the end of it all. Vegetarian rennet, so after your experiences, Ill let you know how I get on with this variety!

Beir bua!
