Hi there, not yet a member but will be soon. I am a new comer to owning hens, I have 1 cross Baton Rooster & 8 Rode Island Reds. I have been feeding them wheat & laying pellets. They are free ranging (love worms) but I want to give them crushed oyster shell. Does anybody know where abouts in Wexford I can get this? Many thanks, Lou

wellcome soon to be new person
try di-calcium phosphate I get it where they sell horse stuff .
very safe stuff can be fed to anything even your self it will do until you source crushed oyster shell
you could also ask at local coop etc if they can get you poultry mineral mix
if your hens have calcium in their diet than all they need is fine crushed stone
hope this helps
