Commonly said to be quite strong , compared to chicken eggs .
I have found that when less than 5 days old they are much milder . After that they quickly become somewhat stronger and not to my own taste .

The girls from Camile are each laying one egg per day and your drake is doing a great job of bossing them about , keeping the chickens away from their food and calling them into their house at night .
Scrambled fresh duck egg made with a little marg , milk , and a few slices of wafer thin ham --- on toast --- the very best breakfast imho |

| It Has a lot to do with clean water, I always give my ducks fresh water daily It makes a huge difference in the taste qaulity of the eggs. I also feed them whole wheat in a bucket of water, that works a treat at keeping the hens away from their food, as I dont have a Drake. I am looking for a Fawn and White Indian runner Drake, if you hear of one, please let me know. |

If not too much has changed since I left Ireland last summer then if you get to the farmers' market in Temple Bar early on Saturday morning, you'll be able to get some duck eggs from Jenny McNally (stall in the corner).
I was never able to taste much difference but I did used to use them fairly quickly so maybe that was why. Assumed it was just my not terribly well-developed palate!
