Well  , the rules are very clearly defined in a post somewhere that you will never find .
Newest member becomes Soc Sec unless he/she can give a very good ( and preferably amusing ) reason why not , or can recruit another unsuspecting member who then gets the job .
It is a huge reponsibility and and even greater challenge . It is a foregone conclusion that the Soc Sec will have no chance of getting anyone on this forum organised so will be dismissed with honours as soon as we have another sucker sorry nominee .
Having said that , informal and friendly networking takes place on a regular basis so stick with it  Wink  Laughing
