Just checked on the O/S map and found that the little lochs just south of loch Easky do in fact have individual names . The northern one is Rumduff. That has deep water close to the edge in places but , as I mentioned , is full of weed which comes up to within inches of the surface . It is soft stringy stuff so you don’t lose gear but it makes spinning impractical .
Below that is Mullaun . Less weed and one of the few around here which has a bed of water lilies . I have seen good fish rising in there .
Further back from the road are lochs Nabrackmore and Gal . There are some quite treacherous holes under the heather around the banks of Nabrackmore . I have never got as far as Gal . It isn't a huge distance but is a tiring walk thru the coarse grass and heather . |
