Found my first Cep yesterday on a picture perfect day (weather wise) during a walk in the woods.
How excited I was is way out of proportion to the actual event.
I also had a look in my giant puffball spot yesterday and found 1 but it had already 'turned' and started going green..Feck it.
But whoo hoo, I found a Cep!!!

Nice find . I haven't seen a single one over here . They often grow in the same places as the red and white spotted Fly Agaric but they are scarce too . Not enough birch & beech for those species in these mountains .
