The Annual Gort show is on Sunday August 10 this year. It's not a huge event, but it's a fun local show with all the usual classes for handicrafts, home produce, flowers, veg, pets, chooks, dogs, horses and even bonny babies.

And we have what we believe is the largest photographic competition of any show in Ireland.

Entries for most classes have to be in this Friday. The schedule and full details of the show can be found on the show website at www.gortshow.com
