Hi Keith. I have had many Lurchers, most of them rescue dogs. I hope yours is fine but they can be very highly strung. Lucy my current dog was abandoned in much the same circumstance's as you have described. She has a lovely nature but she gets petrified at just about any sudden noise. She just panics and runs. Has no road sense and cost me over £2000 in vet bills after a road accident Confused I only say this because these running dogs are bread for one thing. Hunting. and if they dont cut the mustard they are discarded. If you would take my advise watch this dog for a few days. Before you fall in love with it. I am stuck with Lucy now but had I found out how she is I would not have kept her. i am not trying to put you off this dog of course. I have had some perfectly good dogs. Good luck.
