Not sure if you are aware that www.rbdigital.com offers lots of free online magazines. I registered using my local library card. They also offer lots of free online courses, in everything from maths to candle making. Able to read magazines now that I wouldn't normally buy as they are too expensive. I downloaded the zinio app which means I can read on my pc, as I don't have a smart phone.

Hi patcon, welcome back, I just looked at the website from your link, and I can't see where you would register, any ideas.

Cheers

Hi Patcon, that certainly looks like an interesting facility.
Hi Monst, I see that you get to the registration field via the "About Gateway" link , top right of the page. If I read it correctly the registration has to be done by a library then its members can log in via the library's account. I'd say it is well worth making a call to see if a local one has signed up.

Yes, you do need a library account. I signed up a long time ago, so it may have changed a little. I was told that all Irish libraries would be involved with this.

Your post prompted me to rejoin mine and they confirmed what you say.
I've just had a look at the catalogue out of curiosity rather than expectation that I'd find anything worth reading and am amazed at the range of mags on offer. That was a great tip , many thanks
