I could really do with a tractor for basic jobs like moving loose stuff like soil , lumpy things like rocks , for getting turf off the bog , and for ploughing / harrowing fairly small areas ( 1/4 acre )  . If it could also be hooked up to a bench saw of some description to cut logs between 4 and 12" in diameter then that would be ideal .
All the jobs are close by and I have more time than money so it doesn't need to be particularly fast or take huge loads but is does need to be reliable and cheap ( ! ) .
Unfortunately I know next to nothing about tractors and their accessories . Any recommendations together with an idea of what I might expect to pay would be gratefully received  Wink

I have been giving this some thought recently. The Chinese produce a flat packed small tractor which you assemble yourself. Sounds like potential fun for the team. The Sheroma <??> is better than the Yinma as it has been modified for the export trade. Better tyres, clutch etc. and cheap. For small ploughing jobs on medium land a minimum of 25 HP would be needed but more if you can stretch the finances. alternatively a MF 35 would be ideal but these are more of a collectors item although there seem to be plenty around for renovation. My personal choice would be for a Ford 4000. I used one of these thirty years ago and they seem to last and last. It would be worth going to the UK and bringing one back.
Good Luck.

Its your lucky day, we have JUST what you are looking for Shocked  Very Happy

She is a jap import and has power to burn, she took up a 6 ft piece of rebar and wrapped it round the rotovator attatchment and didnt even slow down Exclamation and she gets through the wettest part of our land without blinking.

She is in for 8k but we would be happy to take a good offer Wink

She comes with a finishing mower that gets through 4 ft rushes without slowing down and also comes with a cultivator/rotovator that just EATS through the ground wheather it be soft or pure rocks.  Both attatchments are only 6 months old.

We are gutted at having to sell her as she is the bee's knees but I would LOVE for her to go where she would be most appreceated and it would save you trying to put together a flatpack Cool
