When setting up an electric fence using the normal tape / string / wire , should it be joined end-to-end ? In other words should you attach the energiser to a continuous loop of the stuff ? Or can it be attached anywhere along a length of tape which has not been tied to form a closed loop ?

Hi Blowin,
It can be connected any ways you want ...
the loop is just made to keep livestock in .. but remember that there is gates and all which would break the look ..
in that case of bit of insulated underground wire does the trick to link them ..
Good luck,

Gidday
You don't need a loop as long as you get a good connection. Getting a good earth is the most important part.
With the tape, it is best that you separate out the small bits of actual wire and get your conection onto the,.
