Sea Kale should be coming up by now -- commonly found on shingle banks some way above the high water mark but still exposed to salt spray .
I have never tried it but now know where to find some so will give it a go this year .
The books recommend that you force/blanch it if you are growing it as a vegetable but that won't be very practical on the beach so I suspect it will just taste like strong cabbage .
There is only one way to find out
