Hi All,
I'm installing a system to pump rainwater into my attic tank for use in all areas except the kitchen tap. None of the companies offering rainwater harvesting will supply the necessary float switch and contol but only offer systems that direct the rainwater to the separate utilities, such as washing maching etc.
Here in the Third World (Co Clare) with a very inadequate on/off water supply I need my own system. Has anyone installed one? What bits and pieces would I need?
Much obliged,
Torc

Hi Torc , can't help I'm afraid but I have a related query -- does anyone know about or have a good contact for the water purification side of things ? I have had a well bored . A submersible pump feeds into a pressure chamber ( barrel ) . This switches the pump on / off as appropriate to maintain the  pressure required to get from there to the header tank in the attic . Somewhere in the line we have to install both bio and chemical purifiers of some sort . I imagine that the principles are similar for both water systems except that the rain obviously shouldn't need treatment for chemicals . Unless you live under the airport . So I hope I haven't sidetracked the thread  Wink
