If you had a phase converter which is rated from 1 1/2 to 11 kilowatts , would it be suitable for a 3 phase motor rated at 11 horse power ?
I guess the more general Q is whether there is a direct correlation between the 2 units of measure .
Answers in words of one syllable , please , as I am clueless about this stuff Laughing

Does that 11 KWTs relate to per phase or total? I am no expert but, as 1 HP is rated at about 750 watts then it should be ok
