|

Hadn't been up the woods for several weeks but yesterday found loads of fungi , some of which had already gone over .
More Amythist Decievers than I have seen for a long time , plus Chanterelle for the first time in two years .
Mixed the two and fried , served with fresh caught Pollack in parsley sauce , spuds from the polytunnel and runner beans from the garden . Beautiful .
Tonight had them in bacon and leak risotto . Excellent .
There are separate threads on both of these fungi earlier in this section . The Deceiver is the easier / safer to identify if you don't have much experience . Take a little care and there is not much risk . Cook them to a bit crisper than you would a field or supermarket mushroom and enjoy !
