Hello Herdman.
What type of cows do you have for milking, and what is the reason you can't sell butter. |

| i have two montbelliarde x cows the eu rules as interpreted by our civil servents state that i cannot sell butter that is made in the traditional way from unpastureised milk with out crippling tests and licences. in some states in USA unpastureied milk sell at a large premium. we are currently looking into making cheese from surplus any one out there have any advice on this. |

I keep a Jersey cow myself, but haven't yet got round to making cheese,i find making butter so simple i don't know why more people don't do it.
There's a link on here about making cheese i will try to find it for you. |

Hi Herdman and a belated welcome to the forum .
Several members are quite experienced cheesemakers . I'll see if I can persuade any of them to put up a post
