For some reason ( ignorance ! ) I had thought that the movement and grazing of horses is pretty much unregulated .
Having stumbled across the web link copied below , which states that the penalty for having a horse  without a passport is 5000 euro and/or 6 months inside , I wonder whether there is any beauracracy around allowing someone else's horse to graze on your land ? Paperwork , quarantine periods , anything like that ?
All waterways are adequately fenced so hopefully that side of things is taken care of but is there anything else to consider ?

Anybody ?
Reason for asking is that someone would like to put a couple of "Tinker's" horses on my land for a short  while . I feel sorry for the animals , which are currently on very poor grazing alongside a railway line , and they would help to keep my rushes down , but that sort of potential penalty is not to be taken lightly !
