Greener Homes Scheme - Ireland

Grant aid available for Renewable Heating Technologies

The Greener Homes Scheme is now available and provides assistance to homeowners who intend to purchase a new renewable energy heating system for either new or existing homes. The scheme is administered by Sustainable Energy Ireland and aims to increase the use of sustainable energy technologies within Irish homes over the next 5 years.
Some of the technologies included:
Solar Water Heaters: €300 per sqm up to 12sqm max
Wood Chip or Pellet Central Heating Boiler System: €4,200 regardless of system size.
Wood Pellet Room Heaters/Stoves with automated wood pellet feed: €1,100 regardless of stove output
Wood Pellet Room Heaters/Stoves with Boiler and automated wood pellet feed: €1,800 regardless of system size.

A very good grant system. In it Very Happy

. We are going to fit Solar pannels, Wood pellet /Multi fuel boiler and a Heat recovery system. It is the grants that make this all possible but I am not sure that there is a grant for the latter. I think the Irish Government has a much better grasp on evironmental issues than Tonys mob.
