As a rule goats can be treated very similar to sheep. if you are giving your sheep a sheep minerals lick this should be good enough. A bigger question should be is your soil low in minerals have you or your neighbours ever done as soil test. probably not but if you know what your soil is low in make sure you give that to your animals but always check before giving minerals to animals.
eg horses need lots of copper but copper is bad for sheep/goats.
as for your Houdini try bribery some ration or treat in a bucket only a small amount. put it nearer if she knows you and the bucket she might follow if not you might coax her closer to where you want her but it might take time. play it by ear good luck _________________ We Are The Borg! Hi clancy76,
I am selling surplus (from a whole pallet order) mineral licks specifically formulated for goats. See http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/otheranimals/847480
My good man goes up and down to Donegal (Glenties, Burtonport) quite a bit.

ps. Sheep must not have access to these due to the copper content to which sheep are extremely sensitive. |
