Yes...that might work better, hope all goes well for you.

They certainly are underated birds, if they laid all year I would probably just have Guinea fowl, their eggs and meat are second to none...in my opinion.  Smile

In my opinion they are a better eating bird than chicken its guinea fowl for Christmas this year.

Great choice Phil. experts reckon that 2 years old is the best time to eat them..... what is your experience?

I haven't had the luxury of eating that many but the ones i have eaten have been about a year old.

Mine too actually, I have never bred them to eat, firstly I got them for their excellent warning system against predators and then secondly when I tasted the superb egg quality, it wasnt until I finally had to sell and cull the unwanted cocks that I sampled the meat also.....unfortunately I had let some of them go for nearly nothing before I had tried them! Ah well you live and learn.
