I wondered about that myself. Presumably wiring on a layer of rockwool insulation should do the trick. If so, what thickness does anyone think would be needed?

I needed to cut one of the pipes and it did have a rockwall like filling so as long as the stuff dont burn then it should be fine. The gap between the two skins was about 16 mm. The pipe did still get hot on the outside though. Good luck.
