We tried 10 lots of 6 eggs last year in 2 different Brinsea Polyhatch Incubators. When they were candled all but a few were failures.Out of the 60 eggs one hatched i would not do this again in a hurry.

On the contrary I have had 'eggsellent' results, I have purchased eggs from ebay and other outlets for eggs in UK and have had really good results, working out about 60% overall, I think paying extra for airsure postage and insisting on monday only postings ensures eggs are not held up in the postal system at weekends. hope this helps?

I Would agree wholeheartadly macconroai, unfortuanately the variety of eggs is not available to me locally, or even nationally, although I have bought eggs off ebay Ireland, and currently am two weeks into an incubation which is working out at 100%.

I would not risk buying eggs off Ebay any more. Out of 18 eggs brought only two hatched. Better to pick them up while visiting me thinks, good Luck. Wink

The only variable i can see is the Ebay eggs.We hatch eggs regularly from 4 brinsea Incubators and while we don't get 100% success we certainly don't have 100% failure. To be fair all the eggs are well packed and look OK but I would not do this again.

Well, looking at this logically! they are not...strictly speaking ebay eggs are they? They are eggs advertised on ebay by various sellers! And that is where you take your chance! and pay your money! and hope for the best result possible! doing whatever is possible to make it a good result. Call that luck or good management is anybodys guess, however it is good to try. I think so anyway Wink
