What Price Plucking? While its still fresh in our memories and some of us are still feeling the pain. How much would you want in hard cash to pluck a goose, duck or turkey if you were asked by somebody who woudn't, couldn't do the job themselves?
this would be dry plucking of course.

We helped a friend with 260 turkeys i wouldn't (and didn't )ask for money but here in east cork 4 euro to dry pluck a turkey seems the going rate.We did our own ourselves needless to say for free My hands are in bits

I would charge an awful lot for 3/4 plucking a turkey which someone then decided wasn't quite up to table standard so should be fed to the dog , but for a prime 8 1/3 lb muscovy duck I'd do it is a labour of love . As long as it didn't take until 5 in the morning next time . But that was a very long story and the meal was well worth it !

No need for blushing smilies .
Just serendipity again !
Anyway , it gave us someting to laugh about , which is just as well because that butcher friend of ours was beginning to sound a bit dangerous by that time .
Best duck I have ever eaten .
Water levels have dropped down in the river , too !

Hello,
Someone asked us the other day to kill/pluck a goose for them the other day.
So any ideas what we should charge ?
they aren't friends of ours at all .. I didn't know them before hand so that can be easy cash made ..
Thanks,
Camile

The question is why wont they do it their selves, its a messy unpleasant job,and we know what it entails so charge them by the hour.
