WelliesHi everyone
Just a quick one (didn't really fit in any category, this is the closest I think) - I need to buy some wellington boots. Am off to Germany to WWOOF in a couple of weeks and after spending a very, very muddy weekend at the Irish Green Gathering this weekend I've realised my hiking boots might not survive a farm very long. Not having had any for years I just wondered if people have any particular recommendations - are there such a thing as good wellies. I have enough problems with my feet without adding to them by buying the latest fashionable ones in Penny, comfort rules in my world. Also, any ideas on where to buy them in or around Dublin?
Thanks

Try at a builders merchant or hardware store if you want working rather than fashion wellies . The mid-price ones seem to be more supple and lighter in weight than the cheaper types . Don't get a tight fit -- wear thick / working socks when you try them on for size . Take 2 pairs of inner-soles . Tell the Wwoof host that you expect him to pay for protective workwear such as this , particularly since it will take up a good amount of your baggage allowance if you are flying You might get away with it . They are probably cheaper in Germany anyway . Good luck .
