Welcome . It is nice to see another new member .
As you are probably aware the best way to avoid being appointed to the honourable position of Impotent Social Secretary is to ask or give some very basic advice . That makes us oldies feel very superior because we were doing the same thing many years ago ( or , more likely , only last week ) .
Or do your very best to wake us all up by raising a contentious topic -- in a very polite way , of course ! ( Attacks on the bullshite indirect manner of speaking which comes from the oh so very posh area of SE of England are perfectly in order too , Old Boy ) .
