Sea Bait.

I can get the frozen stuff but can any of you guide me to a Lug supplier in the South East? Wink

You might find some reasonably specific pointers on the Irish sea angling site www.sea-angling-ireland.org but , as you know , people do tend to be guarded about publicising productive marks of any sort on a public forum . ( At least one of the boat angling sites now restricts access to its catch reports because the commercial boys were allegedly monitoring these and hammering the areas which were said to be productive Twisted Evil ) .
I should add that I know how provacative that sort of statement can be and I do not intend it as a sweeping criticism of all boat fishers . Only the short-sighted , inconsiderate morons Shocked
Ooops - I am sidetracking your thread Embarassed . Sorry !
I am sure that you know the signs of a good lugworm bed so i won't teach grandma .. etc , unless anyone else wants a few pointers ?
I could take you to a couple of good marks up here but that wouldn't help a lot ! Or send you some worms wrapped in seaweed ? Should be ok as long as it gets to you within a couple of days . ( Please don't send it back , whatever you do Laughing . )
There is a guy in Inniscrone who sells a whole range of frozen bait out of a garage , or by mail order . He was doing black lug ( from Holland I think ) last year . Expensive and apparently in demand in the south but absolutely no good for anything when I tried it from the boat up here ( comparative trial -- other baits caught fish ) .
Have just remembered that the Fisheries Board produce outline maps of fish & bait potential around the coast . They were free 2 yrs ago . May be online now ? Good luck Wink
