rainOK - We haven't had rain for at least 2 weeks. No rain is forecast for the next ten days. Dublin Airport currently reading 0.0m for April.
So how does this affect people? I know that its great to have rain in April to give the spuds a good start.

we need rain, for the ground and the veg - the grass is so dry for te chickens, the farmers all need rain badly for the land - my previous swamp has cracked, the onions sticking out of holes in a solid sheet of dried out clay. We are watering, and mulching like mad, and also enjoying the sunshine too, but it would be nice to have moderation rather than all one thing or all another...

It's a welcome change from the wet winter we had but all the livestock and plants are suffering. We seem to be constantly carrying water to the animals and birds and watering seedlings and young plants. I expect to be doing this in summer - not april.
