Rain and wind damage.Was it just us or have you had much rain damage. Between the wind and the rain we have had lots of plants and crops flattened.

The heavy rain knocked all the apples off the trees and flattened all the garden peas, but we have had a bumper crop of blackcurrants.

Gooseberries and blackcurrants are bursting before they get that extra bit of warmth they need to sweeten up .
I am getting seriously fed up with being damp all day without the range to dry the clothes , and some of the turf is melting back into the bog before we can foot it .
But at least the rain keeps the midge away so that is a fair compromise .
And the Sea Trout are running into the higher reaches of the Moy in good numbers !
