I want one!!!
We dont get many rabbits but plenty of Hares. Though they are to quick for my old Lurcher. Still, they keep her young at heart!!!
phil

Hello diz.
Have you gave any thought to what you will replace the old lurcher with.

Hiya Phil
Taz is a 3/4 Greyhound, 1/4 bearded collie. Must admit to her being a  good un. However, she was bought for the job/enviourment i was in at that particular time. Big fields, moors, and a plaine. So there was enough room to get to full pelt. She was a bit disadvantaged with the small fields when i whent to Wales. The hill was open enough but rough. After a couple of courses after mountain Hare she was limping. Eventualy resulting in a permanant injury. She was a bit to long and delicate boned.
So, When its time, I will probably go for a half cross. But with a Border Collie cross. I found the bearded cross to be a bit willfull and slow to carry out commands she didnt agree with!!
Previous Half crosses have always been quicker to react to commands. Might try for a team with a border terrier as well. Depends on herself though!!!!!!!!!!!

I know i do!!!!
Mind, with the amount of Hares here and the good will of the farmers, a Saluki might fit the bill. Herself loves the things. If only you could get a half cross to run like one! pity theres no Gazelle here.
Any idea on the legality of taking Deer with dogs here?
phil

I have just phoned up about that pup as far as she can tell me its a three quarter greyhound quarter collie, im looking for a half cross,as for taking deer it would be alright as long as you don't get caught.
