How to post pictures. Clickable thumbnailsHere is how to post clickable thumbnails with photobucket.
Go to www.photobucket.com and create your account.
Then upload some pictures from your PC.
You will see a box that you can tick under the pictures you want to post.
Tick the boxes, scroll all the way down and click on "Generate HTML and IMG Code" ..
Then you can copy the "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards" and paste it here.
Small size thumbnail displayed, and big size picture for those that clicks on it !
Good luck.

Hmmm , I have opened a photobucket a/c and tried to upload a pic but got fed up and switched it off when it still hadn't finished after about 15 mins ( eircom landline ) .
This side of things is a mystery to me but it seems to be similar to when you try to send a pic by email without re-sizing or reducing its quality first .
So , should I make a modified copy of the original then try to upload that ?
And/or can I email a pic to photob ? I am sure I read somewhere that you can but now I can't find the instructions again !
Make quality medium instead of high ?
Picture size ?
Do you have to "trim " it to that size , or can you sort of squash it up so it fits without cutting the edges off ?
Apols if I am being thick . All that strimming does something to the brain , you know . .

Hi blowin, have you got any sort of photo editing software that you use?
To make pics smaller and quicker to upload you can resize and then web optimise......but save the smaller image under a different file name so you don't lose the original.
For web use max 800 pixels wide and can use much less.
Saving as a lower quality jpg will knock your file size down, or if you can web optimise to get file size of less than 100kb it'll make life much easier for upload on dial-up...

I use Photoshop and if I want to resize I make sure the 'constrain proportions' box is ticked and then alter width or height and the other measurement shrinks in proportion...
I'm not stunningly good at explanations, but I hope this helps a bit...if you're more confused shout 'help'

Has something changed in Photobucket or have I just forgotten how to use it ?
That "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards" used to do exactly what it said -- small image on the forum which would immediately enlarge if you clicked on it . Clicking now seems to take you into the whole album on Photobucket . Not only is that a pain in the proverbial for us with slow landlines , I am not sure that I want to draw attention to everything in my albums . Am equally sure that few people would be interested anyway !
Any advice would be appreciated
