I gave that "turbo cider" recipe a spin a few weeks back.

I am pleased to announce that I now have in my possession about 5 liters of something that ranks above prison wine and only slightly beneath the finest of petrol station vintages.

Goes down smooth, brings merriment, I have no complaints. And it's obscenely easy to make.

I make cider every year, well thats not true I did not make any last fall. I dont know about turbo cider, I just press apple pulp through a straw filter and leave to ferment. If I have some pear juice I will blend it, If not it turns out like battery acid. Makes you close one eye and leave the other one open. I have heard that there is some good cider to be found in Ireland. Recommendations any body Wink

David Lewellynn makes great cider in Lusk co. Dublin, also makes apple juice, cider vinegar and even an aged "apple balsamic" vinegar, all great. He does a bone dry and a sweet, personally I am a bone dry fan, had never tasted a cider that was anything like it before, barely sweet, really refreshing and I couldnt hear my teeth rotting as the cider passed through! Iv never seen it sold anywhere but temple bar market and by himself but I believe its avilable elsewhere (not sure where though Embarassed

) If your ever in Dublin on a saturday its worth giving it a go

Haha , another little bit of serendipity that this topic should reappear at this time . Conor , who started this thread , has very recently discovered Devils Bit cider . How does it compare, Mate ? Laughing
