ground elder ( nice to eat ! )

Unlike many of the "old" vegetables , which were given up for a very good reason, IMHO , this one is well worth eating .
Pick when young ( leaves only recently unfurled ) , cook and serve like spinach . It has a perfumed taste . Really quite nice once in a while .

You will never get it out of the garden so you might as well try it !

I have eaten it in the past and it is ok. We can thank the Romans for bringing it to Britain bless them.
