Thanks for the compliments about our little band . Please don't hestitate to ask questions at any level from beginner to expert and if you feel moved to pass on even the most basic bit of advice of your own then please do so . Many of our lot are too proud to ask and too modest to answer so the forum goes a bit quiet unless someone like me prattles on all night . Like I am doing now !  
Having said that some very useful networking is up and running . We just need a Social Secretary to get us , er , more socialised ( organised is a forbidden word on here ) . So .........

Well , the rules are very clearly defined in a post somewhere that you will never find .
Newest member becomes Soc Sec unless he/she can give a very good ( and preferably amusing ) reason why not , or can recruit another unsuspecting member who then gets the job .
It is a huge reponsibility and and even greater challenge . It is a foregone conclusion that the Soc Sec will have no chance of getting anyone on this forum organised so will be dismissed with honours as soon as we have another sucker sorry nominee .
Having said that , informal and friendly networking takes place on a regular basis so stick with it
