talk about a cracking bit of beach combing Very Happy I found it wedged between 3 boulders and baried up to its funnel in sand. While the kids played I dug it out. But when dragging it back to the car (Imagine pot on buggy, baby on handles and two other children making sand angles because I am going so slow) I made another discovery. My hubby was born without the scavenger gene Shocked He had retired to the car to rest and he watched me struggle up the beach with my booty and was so mortified he wouldnt even get out of the car Laughing He even asked if someone might have left it there on purpose Rolling Eyes bless, he loves me really but I am a sad trial for him Embarassed Laughing

So what great things have you all dragged back from the sea side? My pot doesnt quite equal the 16 ft clinker built boat I found once as a kid but its the best thing for ages Very Happy

Nice catch.

Inshore professional fishermen are an untidy lot.

I row around Kenmare Bay and all the islets and secluded beaches are littered with fish boxes, bits of net, buoys, pots and my favourite blue barrels.

Lots of driftwood and mackerel too!
