Cultivating giant puffball spore

OK, I know Ive seen a thread on this somewhere, possibly on the RC site.
I am not going to bother having a look over there as I think I might get some better advice over here (so to speak).
Someone had an idea to put the spore in a blender to mix with water perhaps, which makes perfect sense to get the spread right.
Any body any ideas what might be the best treatment for this nectar?
I have a bag of giant puffball spore in the back of my car and I dont want to leave it too late before I do something with it Wink

Hi bref , I think it was on RC but I didn't see that particular tip . AFIK there is no easy way . I wish there was . I remember Bob Flowerdew ( Radio 4 , Gardeners QT ) saying that he tried unsuccesfully for several years then gave up .
They sprung up all over his garden shortly after that ! Laughing

You might just try mixing it with water in a pump em up sprayer (cant remember the proper name just now) and spraying the ground with it. It would mimic the action of the rain on the fungus and yet get the spoor in contact with the ground. You might also try a diferent patch with some washing up liquid added to help it mix and stick.
Dont know if it would work but its what I would try Very Happy

I broke up a bit of puffball saved for me by someone, and spread it around the front garden and field. I figured it's worth a try. mind you, what Sir Bob can't do, I shouldn't think can be done in the ground. (sigh*)

He manages to survive severe depression ( S.A.D. ) every winter , too !!

Have seen Giant Puffballs in fields near Gurteen , but only one or two . Most of the things which look promising from a distance turn out to be bloomin footballs , which I now understand are put there to keep lambs amused !
