Budgets and credit crunchesI had a bit of a debate with myself as to whether this was contentious or non-contentious. Decided in the end it was probably the latter as I suspect many on here will feel the same way.
I was just reflecting that I have watched the events in the banks and financial markets with the feeling of being a bit of a by-stander. The budget came and went ... and apart from feeling as angry as others about the effects on some of the most vulnerable in our society, I didn't really feel most of it applied to me.
With no mortgage, no real income, very modest lifestyle, supplying a lot of my own food, I feel largely buffered from the worst effects of what has been going on.
Am I just lucky .... or am I missing something?

Not missing anything . Just found a truth and a just reward IMHO . Wish I could do the same .
