breeders ?wooded be possible to put in a list of people who might be able to supply animals plants on the board
if I was looking for a male fan tailed dove, which I am. I would check the list of breeders of doves and see if any had a male dove available as the breeding season is nearly over.
likewise I might ring a breeder of hens around Christmas and ask them to incubate a number of chicks for me
basically this would give me a list of what is available to me--- oh look hamburg bantams I'd love one----
this would be great for me as I buy nearly all my animals in. I am taking the easy route

Not a bad idea but it would take a fair bit of work to put it together and if Admin were to do it as a formal catalogue I can forsee all sorts of problems which I won't bore you with . I don't think many members of this forum would advertise themselves as regular "breeders" ( tax and other impications ? ) but someone can usually come up with something or at least a recommended source if you put up a post under "Wanted" and also under the more general forum for that type of animal .

Well , assuming that you are not asking me to compile a free Golden Pages which covers all of your particular interests and nothing else ....  .... I have set up a new subforum " Recommended suppliers " under the existing main heading of " Useful Links " .
The intention is that anyone who gets listed under there is personally recommended by a member of this forum -- so you could ask him/her for a bit of inside information before going to that supplier
Members might like to nominate suppliers who have particularly impressed them ( or at least are the best of a bad bunch ! ) --- give them a bit of free advertising in return for excellent service or a back-hander or , if you are looking for a supplier of ( things ) you could ask there in addition to under the Wanted section .
