Adding compost/manure to the veg patch

Hello,

in a bid to increase fertility/drainage  of the veg path, I have plenty of well rotted/not that well rotted compost/manure (plenty of chicken one).

Now apart from the carrots, is there anything else that doesn't like being manured before ?

same question applies for inside the tunnel ..

I always get confused with that ...

Thanks,
Camile

Hi Mate. Don't plant any root crop that forms a tap root on fresh manured ground. ie, Parsnips.       Beetroot, and Turnips etc are ok as the crop is a swollen stem and not a root. Good luck.

Hi Wayland,

thanks for that .. so it's basically carrot and parsnips that I shouldn't manure then .. happy days ..

this year I managed to make enough compost/manure for all my veg ..
