Was it just us or have you had much rain damage. Between the wind and the rain we have had lots of plants and crops flattened.

| The heavy rain knocked all the apples off the trees and flattened all the garden peas, but we have had a bumper crop of blackcurrants. |

Gooseberries and blackcurrants are bursting before they get that extra bit of warmth they need to sweeten up .
I am getting seriously fed up with being damp all day without the range to dry the clothes , and some of the turf is melting back into the bog before we can foot it .
But at least the rain keeps the midge away so that is a fair compromise .
And the Sea Trout are running into the higher reaches of the Moy in good numbers !
