| The forestry won't pay anything over 4 grand an acre - even for middling land. |

Thats great news Dara. I am surrounded by crappy land that no one is doing anything with. Might approach the owner and make an offer.
Would be great for keeping pigs and goats...

The heady days of 25k per acre are over. For good I hope. 10k is what I am told these days and even this is too much. The best land in the UK goes for about £5k. Why the price of agri land is so expensive over here I have no clue. Most of it is thin and stony!!!. Good luck
