Looking for a cure here not offering one.

I am always too hot (no smutty remarks please). Now, its not a problem here but when the weather gets really warm I get too hot and the lethargic and even nauseous. I like to travel but find it difficult to be in a temperature of over 23 degrees especially if the heat is constant.
I have found that lots of liquids and not eating carbohydrates helps, but only a bit.
I think its because I am SO Irish that I am designed for this climate. I was in France one time and got a tiny insect bite, the temp. was about 25 degrees and the bite got bigger and bigger until after 6 days the redness covered a quarter of my leg, as soon as I get home to the cold it went. This is typical of any little scratches or grazes I get when away.
Anyhow, I am off on holiday in two weeks and the temp is expected to be high 20's. I know, why go, well its a family holiday and this was a compromise to suit all.

So, any tips for keeping me well in the heat, anything I can take or teas/herbs that have a cooling effect.
My plans are too drink lots of water and juices, as little alchohol as possible, eat few carbs, shower about 10 times a day and swim and be in the sea as much as possible. This usually works, the days with problems are day trips and any transport.
The only advice any before has been able to give me is keep my head out of the sun and keep the back of my neck as cool as possible, I usuallt travel with one of those canisters of water and spray on my neck, and back of legs and inside elbows....ant other tips
