One of GB's chicks out of the wonderful blue eggs (see http://countrytalkandtips.myfreeforum.org/sutra4840.php#4840 which I took over at Day 10 or so has morphed into a lovely little cockerel.
He appears to be genetically a blue bird as the fancy calls it, that is to say his colour is a slate gray with dark edging on the feathers. He also has a straw/gold patch on the wings. As the blue egg gene is dominant he would be passing it on to at least half his offspring, maybe even all his offspring, as at least his mum was a blue-egg layer. So depending on the future cross he could sire layers of anything from light-blue to olive eggs with white egg or brown egg layers respectively.
He also appears to be a bantam judging from his size. He's 7 1/2 weeks now.
Free to good home. PM if interested.
@GB, Little tufted "Georgia" has just joined the flock. The other girls are going to friends this week.

Hi GB,
umh, yes, kind of... in our tummies.
And the other girls, well... , they are not, just late developers. Just got word yesterday. Even Georgia was renamed George and I will leave the rest to your imagination. Too bad. Was really looking forward to some green or blue eggs.
As to the bator, if you could PM me with a price? I met a fella last Sunday who is thinking of buying one.
You are almost there, heh?
Hope you will let us know how you get on in the other sunny south-east.
