they are amazing pictures ..

I knew you were right by saying that terriers were the best for rats .. but that really shows it .

Now you have comforted me even more to get a terrier .. be it for rat or fox ..

that's a loyal companion put to good use,

The small smooth coated red and white dogs are Plummer terriers,great all round workers but they were bred for ratting.

great pics, never went ratting but did alot of ferreting in the uk, would love to start it up again, can't beat it on a crispy winter sunday.....

with 700 being caught up they would eat dozens of kilos a day wouldn't they ?

The way i read it. they killed 80 rats the day before the dogs turned up.
The dogs killed a lot of rats under the sheds that they couldn't get at so i would reckon its the best part of a thousand.
