Hello,
I was wonderring if anyone had an idea on how to clean a 1000 ltrs tank (IBC) that was previously used for petrol to be able to reuse it as a water tank again ?
I wanted to use it for water for livestock and veggie patch ... but I wouldn't risk contaminating either of them with petrol ?
If it's a lost cause, please tell me and I will re-advertise it as a petrol tank this time.
Thanks,
Camile

Does it smell strongly of petrol ? I don't think there should be much residue if that was all that was in it . I'd try a fairly strong solution of ordinary detergent and a good rinse and airing . Think again if it still smells horrible .
I have drunk out of glasses which have had petrol in them ( don't ask and no , it wasn't the petrol I drunk ) . Didn't seem to taste or harm . Wasn't plastic , tho' .
